Hi Mythlords!

We’re thrilled to share that Mythlords: Classic Monsters is one big step closer to your game tables! 🎉 Right now, we’re finalizing the production files and getting everything ready to head to our manufacturing partner in China. Seeing the game come to life is beyond exciting, and we can’t wait for you to experience it.

Sorry for not getting this out last month, but Frank has been on two films back-to-back and is just getting back to some sense of normalcy after working 13-hour days. 

We wanted to be transparent about one important factor we’re watching closely: tariffs. Currently, tariffs are sitting higher than usual at 30%, which has the entire industry worried about our common future. Moving forward with immediate production would add thousands of dollars in extra costs—money that would be tough to absorb.
 
With that being said, tariffs may potentially drop to 10% in the next few months, which would make a huge difference. We’re staying in close contact with our logistics partners and keeping a sharp eye on the situation. If it doesn't, we will figure it out at that time. Rest assured, if there are no other choices Mark and I will absorb the costs if it comes to that. 

In the meantime, we’re using this window to double-check every detail and make sure Mythlords: Classic Monsters is the best it can be. Your support and patience mean the world to us, and we’re incredibly grateful for your understanding as we navigate these final steps.

We are also speaking to a mainline publisher that may team with us to create future expansions for the game. 

We’ll continue to keep you updated as we move closer to production. The monsters are coming!

Pledge Manager

HI, Mythlorders,

I hope everyone had a great holiday and an awesome New Year.  If you are in and around the LA fires, my heart and prayers go out to you. To follow up on my update from last month, there were some difficulties in setting up the pledge manager, but we did get our approval last night. Sorry for the delay.

Some of you may have already gotten your surveys as we recently sent out a "Smoke Test." Everyone else will be receiving their pledge within the next 48 hours.  The files are currently being prepped for the manufacturer and will be sent within the next couple of weeks. Everything is moving ahead at full speed. I have retested the solo mode several times and have made the AI a bit harder.

Mark and I are also working on a cooperative campaign mode for the game and I'm pretty excited about it. It will star Abbot and Costello (though we won't be able to actually call them that.)

Some of you have informed me that I'm not communicating. In that case, I have to assume that many of you are not being alerted to the updates. Let me know how I can correct this (if you actually see this update.) 

If you have any questions feel free to email me with "Mythlords" in the subject line and I will get back to you within 24 hours as some of you can already attest.

In the meantime, I will be doing a live stream celebrating the launch of the Green Hornet 90th Anniversary Anthology by Moonstone Books. It will written by Timothy Zahn and Kevin J. Anderson as well as a half-dozen other award-winning writers. Several of them will be on this live stream where the audience can ask questions and listen to their stories about their career and the green-fedora-wearing vigilante and his sidekick, Kato.

Pledge Manager & The Holidays

Hi, Mythlorders,

We hope everyone is having a great holiday. We just wanted to do a quick update to inform everyone that the pledge manager will be starting shortly. It will be hosted here on Backerkit. We are just waiting for them to verify our business information. We will be running Late Pledge as well and then the pledge manager will launch. So look for that by mid January.

In the meantime, we will be getting the files ready for printing. 

If you haven't already, check out the list of writers on the upcoming Green Hornet anthology, celebrating Green Hornet and Kato's 50th anniversary.

Last Few Days of Mythlords on Kickstarter

Hi, Mythlorders,

Thank you all again for supporting Mythlords: Classic Monsters. If you are following the Kickstarter campaign, we are expecting a push over the next few days. We are hoping to unlock a few stretch goals along the way. Any unlocked stretch goals will also be unlocked for Backerkit backers.  There was a slight bump today. In the final hours of the campaign, if you can get out there and post the link on your social media pages to help get us over that hump, it would be appreciated. - www.mythlords.net

At 10pm est on Halloween, we will be doing a giveaway. We will randomly choose a Pledge Number. That lucky winner will be able to choose between a signed copy of either Lords of LA or  Destiny Aurora  First Edition Comic Books- Winner's choice. You will be eligible even if you come in for $1.00. Remember that the Monster card sleeves are available as a pledge level on Kickstarter.

Everyone on Backerkit will also be receiving the Invisible Man Promo Character Card as a thank you. He's a sneaky little bugger. He moves around on your opponent's turn. A very fun character to play.



If the Invisible Man finds a better opportunity to battle than where he's been called out -- he may instantly disappear and pop up somewhere else. Watch out, he may have a knife to your throat before you even know he's there.

Kickstarter Campaign, Live Stream, & Essen Spiel

Hi, Lords Fans:

The game launched on Kickstarter today. We wanted to let all of our original supporters know that you will not be missing out on anything. You were our supporters from the beginning and you will be treated with the utmost respect. See the following: 

  • You have gotten the game cheaper than what we have on KS.
  • You will receive all of the character STLs
  • You will receive the Invisible Man Promo Character Card
  • You will receive all Stretch Goals Unlocked during the campaign
  • If the KS does not fund, it will not affect you receiving the game.

The next question was: Is there anything on the KS for sale that was no on Backerkit?
--- Yes, the card sleeves are a new component offered on Kickstarter and yes you can purchase these separately. We created a pledge just for returning backers.

We had an amazing livestream today. Artist Mark Spears was able to join the stream. We went over the game, set up, components, and the structure of a turn. 

We have such great ideas for future expansions. Mark wants to work on art for a Greek Mythology expansion and I'm currently working on a co-op campaign expansion featuring Abbott & Costello. So, let's make this campaign cook. Help us out by posting and bringing awareness to the game.
